Free Proxies & Proxy Tools
For years this page listed free “parent proxies” for browsers and tunneling software like PD-Proxy, cProxy and OpenVPN. Public proxy lists change by the minute and many free proxies are run by unknown operators, so today we give you something more useful: tools to clean and use your own list safely.
Proxy list validator & converter
Everything runs locally in your browser. Accepts ip:port, host:port, scheme://user:pass@host:port, one per line.
Understanding proxy types
| Type | What it carries | Encryption | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|
| HTTP | Web requests from the configured browser/app | None to the proxy | Simple web browsing, caching |
| HTTPS / CONNECT (SSL 443) | Tunnels HTTPS sites or a VPN connection through the proxy | End-to-end TLS to the website | Secure sites, tunneling software |
| SOCKS4 | TCP connections from any SOCKS-aware app | None | Legacy apps |
| SOCKS5 | TCP and UDP, supports authentication | None (use with TLS apps) | Games, torrent clients, messaging |
| VPN (for comparison) | All traffic from the whole device | Full tunnel encryption | Privacy, public Wi-Fi, unblocking |
